Useful information
In the first fertility consultation, we will perform diagnostic tests for both the woman and the man, such as blood tests, ultrasounds, and an evaluation of the medical history.
Based on the test results, our specialists will develop a personalized treatment planthat may include techniques such as artificial insemination or in vitro fertilisation.
Once the treatment plan is established, we will carry out the necessary steps, such as ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilisation, and embryo transfer, as appropriate for each treatment
In vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment in Madrid consists of controlled ovarian stimulation to obtain multiple mature eggs. Eggs are retrieved in our operating theatre through a procedure known as egg retrieval.
Subsequently, the eggs are fertilised in our laboratory using sperm from the patient’s partner or a donor. The resulting embryos are cultured for several days and then an embryo is selected for transfer to the woman's uterus, with the aim of achieving a pregnancy.
Artificial insemination in Madrid involves introducing sperm, previously prepared in our laboratory, into the uterus around the time of ovulation.
The aim is to facilitate fertilisation, thus increasing the chances of pregnancy. It is a less invasive technique than in vitro fertilisation and can be a good option for certain couples or for single women who wish to have a child.
Egg donation treatment in Madrid involves in vitro fertilisation with donor eggs and sperm from the patient’s partner or a donor.
This process lasts approximately two months. During this time, the donor undergoes ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval. The eggs are then fertilised in the laboratory, followed by embryo culture and preparation of the recipient’s endometrium. Finally, the embryo transfer is performed.
The ROPA method in Madrid is an assisted reproduction treatment for female couples. In this treatment, one partner (the genetic mother) undergoes ovarian stimulation to provide the eggs while the other partner carries the pregnancy and give birth to the baby (gestational mother).
Subsequently, the eggs are fertilised in our laboratory with sperm from an anonymous donor. The resulting embryos are cultured for a few days and then an embryo is selected for transfer to the gestational mother's uterus.
Several factors can influence the success rate of our fertility treatments in Madrid. Some of these include the woman's age, the quality of eggs and sperm, the general health of the couple, the experience and competence of the assisted reproduction centre, as well as the patients' adherence to the treatment plan.
The comprehensive approach of our specialists, the appropriate selection of the assisted reproduction technique for each patient, and the use of cutting-edge technology help us maximise the chances of success in our treatments.
