INFORMATION ON THE FERTILITY TREATMENTS
Our clinic performs a variety of fertility treatments, depending on the cause of the couple’s infertility.
There are currently several types of fertility treatments available. On the one hand, there are assisted reproduction treatments with donor eggs, sperm donor treatments and IVF treatments with the patient’s own eggs.
We are now beginning to perform fertility treatments with donor eggs. In this way, women who cannot achieve pregnancy with an assisted reproduction technique with their own eggs due to age can be treated with donor eggs.
This fertility treatment with donor eggs is already being performed with anonymous donor eggs. It is a form of egg donation in which the donor is a woman who does not know the future father.
Examples of fertility treatments:
Natural cycle is a fertility treatment that uses donor eggs in which the woman who donates the egg is the partner of the person who requests to be a father. The egg is obtained by ovarian drilling and fertilised with the partner’s sperm.
In Vitro Fertilisation is a fertility treatment that consists of placing an egg in the uterus using a catheter. For this, the donor father’s semen is combined with the egg of the mother receiving the treatment. Fertilisation is conducted in the laboratory. The embryos are introduced in the woman’s uterus, where they are implanted, and grow.
Artificial insemination is a fertility treatment used to increase a couple’s fertility. Artificial insemination involves placing sperm in the uterus of the woman receiving the treatment using a catheter.
In the case of egg donation, this treatment consists of placing the eggs inside the vagina of the woman receiving the treatment, obtained by ovarian drilling.
In summary, women or men undergo fertility treatments to have children. Infertility can be treated in several ways, all with the same aim: to allow the patients undergoing fertility treatments to be a father or mother.
