Dr María Consuelo Calomarde Rees is a gynaecologist specialising in Assisted Reproduction at IVF-Life Madrid. She graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia and completed her specialist training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid.
She has a strong clinical, academic and research background in women’s health, obstetrics, ultrasound diagnostics and reproductive medicine. During her time at Hospital Universitario La Paz, she was involved in clinical and scientific work in areas such as high-risk pregnancy, twin gestations, fetal growth restriction and maternal–fetal alloimmunisation. She has also been involved in teaching activities at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Dr María Calomarde specialises in reproductive medicine, assisted reproduction, gynaecology and obstetrics, infertility, in vitro fertilisation, artificial insemination, ovarian stimulation, fertility preservation, and gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound. Her experience also includes high-risk pregnancy, twin gestations, intrauterine growth restriction, maternal–fetal alloimmunisation and maternal–fetal medicine.
Between 2009 and 2013, Dr María Calomarde contributed to teaching within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her teaching activity included training medical students and participating in clinical and academic sessions at Hospital Universitario La Paz.
She has also taken part in outreach activities and medical content related to fertility, reproductive health, fertility preservation and assisted reproduction treatments.
Dr Calomarde Rees has developed scientific activity in obstetrics, maternal–fetal medicine, gynaecology and assisted reproduction. Her work includes articles in scientific journals and book chapters related to maternal–fetal alloimmunisation, twin pregnancies, intrauterine growth restriction, maternal acromegaly during pregnancy, pelvic haematomas and invasive breast lesions.

Her work also addresses medical complications during pregnancy and obstetric and perinatal outcomes, with additional interest in gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound, breast pathology and pelvic haematomas.
