The IVF-Life group will participate this week in the annual congress of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), Europe's leading scientific event in reproductive medicine. This year's edition will take place in London from 5 to 8 July and will bring together thousands of assisted reproduction specialists from around the world.
IVF-Life's participation in this year's congress will include the presentation of four scientific studies developed by professionals from the group, two of which have been selected for oral presentation and two for poster presentation, a recognition that highlights the relevance and scientific interest of the research carried out by its teams.

Three of the studies are led by Alba Alarcón, an embryologist at IVF-Life Madrid, and focus on the reproductive potential of immature oocytes retrieved during in vitro fertilisation treatments and their ability to complete maturation in the laboratory.
The studies analyse key aspects such as the ability of these oocytes to fertilise and develop to the blastocyst stage, the morphological quality of the embryos obtained, and their chromosomal competence. The findings provide new evidence regarding the potential clinical role of these oocytes in patients with poor ovarian response or with a limited number of oocytes available for treatment.
Meanwhile, Llanos Medrano, Laboratory Director of the IVF-Life group, will present research focused on improving the outcomes of frozen embryo transfers through the use of culture media containing GM-CSF, a molecule naturally present in the endometrium and associated with the mechanisms of embryo implantation.
The study, selected for oral presentation by the congress scientific committee, suggests that exposing embryos to this molecule prior to transfer could be associated with an increase in clinical pregnancy rates in certain groups of patients.
IVF-Life's participation in ESHRE 2026 reflects the group's commitment to research and innovation applied to clinical practice, with the aim of translating scientific advances into the continuous improvement of treatments and patients' reproductive outcomes.
