Dr Paloma Baviera Royo is a consultant gynaecologist specialising in assisted reproduction at IVF-Life Alicante. A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia and a specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, she is also a qualified midwife and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Reproduction.
Throughout her career, she has worked in reproductive medicine, gynaecology, obstetrics and surgery. She has also held senior positions in egg donation and assisted reproduction units, including medical leadership roles and the coordination of surgical units.
She currently combines her work as an assisted reproduction specialist at IVF-Life Alicante with her role at Dr Balmis University General Hospital in Alicante.
Her expertise spans reproductive medicine, assisted reproduction, gynaecology and obstetrics, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, in vitro fertilisation, intrauterine insemination, egg donation and fertility preservation. She also has experience in gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound, gynaecological surgery, surgical unit coordination, cervical disease and colposcopy, as well as high-risk pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, comprehensive care for egg donors, support following genetic loss associated with egg donation and the prevention of multiple pregnancies in assisted reproduction.
Dr Paloma Baviera Royo has taught on the University Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Alicante. She has also taught on the Master’s Degree in Male Infertility at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. She has contributed to chapters in reference books on reproductive medicine and has spoken at national and international conferences.
Her public engagement work includes patient information on genetic loss and egg donation, declining ovarian reserve, reproductive potential and age, the prevention of multiple pregnancies, the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and fertility preservation.
Dr Paloma Baviera Royo has participated in research projects, clinical trials and scientific publications in gynaecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine. Her scientific activity includes collaboration in clinical studies, presentations at specialist conferences and authorship of chapters in books on reproductive medicine.
