The embryologists Llanos Medrano and Enrique Olaya will play a very important role in the IX gathering of the Asociación para el Estudio de la Biología de la Reproducción (Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology).
The Asociación para el Estudio de la Biología de la Reproducción (ASEBIR) will hold its IX National Congress in Madrid between the 15th and the 17th of November 2017.
The biennial appointment gathers more than 500 national and international specialists interested in debating and analysing the latest advances in reproductive biology. The scientific programme selected by ASEBIR is divided into five areas of interest: Embryology, Genetics, Andrology, Cryobiology and Quality.
The IX edition, which will be celebrated in the Convention Centre of the Hotel Meliá Castilla from the Spanish capital, has beat all inscription records; which has translated into a 25% increase in participation compared to the VIII ASEBIR congress, celebrated in November 2015 in San Sebastián. The data confirm the increasing interest of the specialists in attending this gathering that takes place every two years.
IVF Spain at the forefront in ASEBIR 2017
During the second day of the congress, IVF Spain will be a protagonist.
The presentation of the EMB awards granted during the ASEBIR congress of 2015 will take place. The embryologist Llanos Medrano will attend as a special guest. During the last edition of the congress she was awarded the prize for the best Oral Communication in Basic Investigation in collaboration with the Universidad de Alicante. The study named ‘Vitrification vs freezing. Celullar study and initiation of clinical application’, will address the benefits of vitrification compared to slow freezing.
In the section dedicated to Embryology, twelve communications will be offered. Enrique Olaya, newly incorporated embryologist to the IVF Spain team, will participate as moderator. Enrique Olaya graduated in Biology in the Universidad de Valencia. He has the clinical embryologist certificate issued by ASEBIR, as he is also a member of the directive board of that same entity.
We also want to highlight the participation of Yosu Franco Iriarte (IVF Donostia, San Sebastian) in the present edition. He will present the seminar ‘Life, a matter of trust’ under the umbrella of the symposium ‘Creating life together’.
The commitment that IVF Spain keeps towards patients makes this international clinic be constantly at the innovation and technology spotlight, which allows this Alicante located centre to always be at the forefront of research in the field of Assisted Reproduction. The advances in this field, the addition of new talents, the constant acquisition of cutting-edge technology applied to fertility techniques, as well as the close contact with the patient, make it possible to achieve the best result for any fertility problem.
